Located in the heart of the Longmont Creative District, The Canvas is more than your typical “paint and sip.”

We created this studio because we knew the social art-making experience could be so much more. Tired of cheap materials, uninspired art, and a cookie-cutter atmosphere, we set out to build a space that was genuinely elevated, refined, and welcoming to everyone.

This studio is the realization of that vision: a modern space that pairs high-quality art instruction with a curated menu of locally-sourced bites and sips.

These words guide everything we do at The Canvas.

Our core belief is that art-making is for everyone, regardless of experience or background. We are dedicated to tearing down the traditional barriers that keep people from trying art.

Our founder, Laura Graham, realized that many art classes focused too much on the final product and not enough on the process or the people. She opened The Canvas with the goal of shifting the focus: come for the fun, stay for the community, and leave with a great piece of art. Laura loves inspiring others to unleash their inner artist. Visitors leave with a work they can be proud of and a smile.
