Your Guide to Making Date Night in Longmont a Work of Art

Don’t get us wrong, we love going to the movies! But sometimes you need a date night with a little more life in it. You want to talk, laugh, and actually do something together.

If you’re looking to shake things up, we’ve got the perfect plan for you. It’s all about creativity, connection, and yeah, some drinks.

Here is your cheat sheet for an awesome creative date night.

Step 1: Grab Some Grub

Time: 5:00 PM

First things first: food. You gotta fuel up before you paint! Since our studio is right in Downtown Longmont, there are some great spots just a short walk away.

  • Craving Tacos? We love heading to Teocalli Cocina for some modern Oaxacan cuisine, or Jefe’s Tacos for street-style tacos.
  • Want a Burger? You can’t go wrong with 300 Suns! Best Burgers and Hot Chicken in town, and just a short walk across our parking lot!
  • Pizza? Grab a quick slice at Urban Field, known for their great pizza from locally-sourced ingredients.

Tip: Book a table so you aren’t rushing to class!

Step 2: The Fun Part at The Canvas

Time: 6:30 PM

Now for the main event! Come on over to the studio and get comfortable. Check in a little early to give yourself time to get your drinks and aprons.

Why is this better than a movie?

  1. You actually talk: Chat, flex your painting skills, and help each other out.
  2. Liquid Courage: Order off our curated menu of Colorado Proud beers, ciders, and wines! It definitely helps the creativity flow!
  3. The Souvenir: At the end of the night, you aren’t just leaving with a receipt. You’re taking home the paintings you made together.

Bonus: Check our calendar for “Date Night” events where you paint two halves of one larger picture!

Step 3: Celebrate your Piece

Time: 9:15 PM

Class is done, the paint is drying, and you’re feeling good. Don’t head home yet! Keep the night alive. After taking a great photo in front of our neon signs:

  • Sweet Tooth? Head up Main Street to Sweet Cow Ice Cream for a treat.
  • Nightcap? Grab a beer at Wibby Brewing and compare your art. Who really did the trees better? (Be kind!)

Ready for a Great Night?

Stop doing the same old thing. Grab your partner (or your date!) and book a spot this weekend.
